Top Agents : XML Feed Details

TopAgents suports automatic updates of the properties your estate agency via an XML feed, an example of this can be found here.

The feed consists of four sections: details, a description of your agency; service, the services your agency provides; contact, the contact details and address of your office; and finally a list of your current properties.

The details section contains the following fields:

• Name, the name of you agency
• Summary, the branch name or a short description of your other services
• Description, a full description of your agency and the services it offers
• Logo/URL, the url of your agencies logo, stored on your website
• Update/URL, the address of your XML feed file

The services section contains the following fields:

• Sales/Minimum, the lower limit for the properties you sell (£s)
• Sales/Maximum, the upper limit for the properties you sell (£s)
• Lettings/Minimum, the lower limit for the properties you let (£s pcm)
• Lettings/Minimum, the upper limit for the properties you let (£s pcm)
• Zones, the postcode areas covered by your agency

The contact section contains the following fields:

• Telephone/Sales, the number of your sales hot-line, if present
• Telephone/Lettings, the number of your lettings hot-line, if present
• Email/Sales, your email address for sales enquiries
• Email/Lettings, your email address for lettings enquiries
• Email/Technical, your email address for reporting errors in uploading this feed
• URL, the address of your website
• Address/House, the your office building's name
• Address/Street, the road name
• Address/Road, the closest major road, if the office is situated off the main roads
• Address/Town, the town or district of your office
• Address/City, the nearest city, or the city in which your office is located
• Address/County, the county containing your office
• Address/Code, the postcode of your office

The property sections contains the following fields, and is repeated for each property you want listed:

• Description, a short description of the house offered
• URL, a deep link to the property on your website
• Images, the url of an image of the property, stored on your website
• Price/Sell, the selling price, or...
• Price/LetPCM, the pcm letting price, or...
• Price/LetPW, the per week letting price, or...
• Price/Sold, the price of sale for properties already sold
• House, Street, Road, Town, City, County, Code -- address as above
• Information/..., additional property information -- see notes

The XML file is stored on your server, normally this file will connect to whatever database system you use.

Every time a user accesses your agency page on Top Agents this XML feed is queried and the latest results displayed.
